The Solari Journal #SOLARISays

The Solari team is your team. Our “less ego, more client” mantra ensures we blend your goals with our knowledge of the industry. We aren’t big on baffling you with fancy architecture jargon because it compromises our love of clarity and progress. We’re a transparent, honest team and are pretty happy being described as “normal people” by those who work with us. We all share a love of architecture, life balance, creativity and fun – which makes for an enjoyable common ground.

At Solari, our focus is on growing independent thinkers and architects with the confidence to see an entire project through from start to finish.

  • Architect

Are you looking for an opportunity to stretch yourself? Somewhere you can be given more responsibility and have a creative voice?

Do you love medium density housing and are looking to get more experience in this field?

Are you determined to provide quality housing for both social housing and the private market.

    Do you love working collaboratively?

We are looking for an Architect who is keen for the opportunity to show what they can really do. We have a big forward workload that we need to deliver on. The scope of work available is extensive. There is opportunity for all project phases. Front end design, documentation through to site obs. You won’t be pigeon holed here.

We work hard on building great long-lasting relationships with our clients, consultants and contractors. You will need to have both excellent written and communication skills. We need you to be great with people as people are the core of our business.

We have a fantastic bunch of people here at Solari. To fit in you need to have loads of passion and enthusiasm and really thrive on working in a collaborative environment. We encourage boundary pushing and fresh thinking. Growing your career is absolutely up to you – there are no glass ceilings here. We love to have a good laugh together, so a sense of humour is a must too. We don’t have any time for egos. We are looking for a real team player.

If you think this is you then get in touch with us pronto! We would love to hear from you.

**Of course: All applicants must be NZ permanent residents or hold a valid NZ work permit.

  • Architectural Graduate

We are looking for an Architectural Graduate who is excited to be out in the world and hungry to learn more.

Solari Architects is a great place to work and learn. We know it’s a bit of a shock to go from the world of theory to the real world. At Solari make the effort to nurture our graduates to keep the fire in the belly burning and make sure your love for architecture grows as you do.

At Solari you will be mentored by our senior team. They will guide and train you on the important stuff like the design process, the consent process, working with Revit, detailing that works, building and managing a relationship with your client, site visits and coordination with consultant teams.

We will work with you on developing your registration path. We have an internal graduates’ group who regularly meet with senior team members to tutor you through different aspects of the profession and help you with your exam preparation. You will be giving the opportunity to work on multiple projects and gain experience at all the different phases of a project. You will see and be part of projects as they come to fruition. All helping you to build up the experience that you need to gain registration.

We have a great team here at Solari who all enjoy working in a fun, collaborative and supportive environment. There is a fantastic office culture that is positive, engaging and inclusive. We are all really passionate about what we do and love nerding out about it together. We’re a social bunch and regularly enjoy a drink together or a fun event out and about town.

We are looking for someone with energy, curiosity, a hunger to learn more and a passion for architecture. If you think you’re the perfect fit for us and you have lots to offer to our team then we would love to hear from you.

**Of course: All applicants must be NZ permanent residents or hold a valid NZ work permit.
